have bag, will travel

So, last year my sewing buddy, Emily, got a pattern for a sweet little bag that would be great for taking on vacation. At the time myself and four other friends were all preparing to go on an Alaskan cruise and Em and I thought these bags would be a great gift for all of us to have to take along. We got together, like we love to do, and cut and sewed everyone one of these cuties. I like to call it the traveler. It is perfect for a passport, a little wallet, some lip gloss and hand sanitizer and your room key. The best thing, is that it zips closed and can go across your body so it feels secure and won't be forgotten.

We took these everywhere and had the time of our lives. A group of my dear girlfriends got to go on a Mexican cruise last month and I was so glad I had this bag, it's just right for traveling, going to the zoo, or shopping all day.

You can see Erin and Emily with their traveler bags in this photo!

Anyhow I pulled out this pattern again and thought how handy they are. I figured out how to make one out of 2 fat quarters
which is really great because I can buy lots of fun fabric in small quantities! Here are a few of the ones I whipped up and some new fabric I bought today to make even more!

These nifty little numbers are available in my etsy shop!I only have one listed right now but have more to list this weekend. I'll keep you posted!

I love my traveler bag! It's small enough to not be bulky, but it holds my camera, small wallet, cell phone, and some lipstick. And I really love wearing my purse across my shoulder.
