Last night my family kicked off spring break with our routine family fun night. We like to make homemade pizza on these Friday evenings because the kids get to make their own and they get a kick out of it! I want my kids to have memories of helping me in the kitchen, and the yummy things we eat regularly.
When we made pizza before, we either used a premade ball of dough from Winco or a box of jiffy pizza crust. Usually because I thought it was easier.I was so wrong! My sister-in-law, Rachel, came over to make pizza with me and she had this super recipe for pizza dough that is not only really easy, but very delicious.

2 cups flour
1Tbsp yeast
1Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup warm water
(I double the recipe for our family of 4)
It's that simple. Measure ingredients into a large bowl. ( I use the rapid rise yeast so you don't even have to soak it first, just pour it in with the dry stuff) Knead until smooth and spray it with cooking spray on all sides.
Let it rise 10 minutes.
Roll out the dough and let it raise 10 to 15 minutes on the pan. Use that time to prep your toppings.
Let your kids top their own pizza, you'll probably want to do the grown up pizza yourself, unless you have older kids who can make a super duper pizza!
Bake pizza at 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Our large pizza should have been made into two smaller pizzas because the middle wasn't quite finished. Also, don't judge me for my stained air bake cookie sheets, but it's all I have. A pizza stone would be ideal but when I was young and stupid I gave mine away!
DON'T TELL MY MOM! Cookie sheets work fine though.
Then all you have left to do is eat and enjoy! I'm sure that lots of you have wonderful dough recipes but shockingly I did not have one until now,so I thought I'd share the love just in case!

Thanks for the post! I grew up making pizza with my family and used the dough recipe for a while, but never totally loved it. For the last 4 years or so, I've just bought a ball of dough from the deli section at Winco, too. It sounds nice to not have to get to the store, since I like to buy it the same day. I'm looking forward to trying it tonight! :)
I love doing pizza night. I've had several different dough recipes, but never one as fast as this one. I'll have to give it a try.
And, as I looked at your pictures, my thought was, "Oh look! Her cookie sheets look exactly like mine!" They're just brown around the edges because we use them so much!
Thanks! Will definitely be trying it!
