craziness

Okay, I may be going a little crazy with the before and afters. In my defense, we are working very hard to get our home ready to sell and so lots of projects are being finished all at once. However this sideboard was finished around Christmas, but I moved my kitchen table out of the breakfast nook because we're selling it and I realized I never showed you how this turned out. We bought it last summer at a garage sale for $20. Russ is amazing at the refinishing furniture stuff so I have to admit I had nothing to do with it besides pestering and pleading and generally being annoying about how it was turning out. I'm very pleased and proud of my husband's talent and I love my new piece of furniture!

It looks better in person... and it better! Yeah it only cost $20.. then another $15 for furniture re-finisher, $35 for paint, 30 hrs of sanding, painting and re-painting... brings us to a grand total cost of $1.2million. OK so maybe I overestimated my hourly wage.

It is a good thing I enjoy doing this. But the lesson is New is Cheaper, even if it is Pottery Barn.

I guess it is worth it though... especially since we only paid out $70 total.
