My darling husband is 30!

I should be cleaning. But I'm not. My kids are all in their rooms quietly playing. They were ordered to go there and do that, don't get the wrong idea that my kids are so angelic and just magically play quietly in their rooms without being told to!

Instead I'm posting a shout out to my hubs who turned the big three zero today! He is an incredible man and I feel like the most blessed lady that he fell in love with me (of all people) and married me at age 19!

He found out soon after that he was going to be a daddy and on his 9 month anniversary with his lovely bride, he found himself in the hospital holding his newborn son!  That's a lot to digest for a twenty year old!

But Russ wasn't just any twenty year old. He was up for the challenge. He found a job doing hard manual labor that paid pretty well and had a swing schedule so he could still go to school full time. He worked so hard, and looong hours to provide for his new family. When he was done with two years of community college he took his 18 month old son and newly pregnant wife and bought a 100 year old house and moved closer to OSU where he would be attending. More work for this now 21 year old. Working at a new job and full time school, with the added bonus of a newborn baby girl and a old (crappy) house to remodel. All. On. His. Own.

He did an remarkable job and made that house beautiful and graduated one warm Spring day with his whole family watching!

Moved up to engineering manager and sold that old house for a nice profit and moved his family one more time to a cute little house in the suburbs of Jefferson close to his job. He works so hard and has such a happy heart. He loves his family and serves his Lord with enthusiasm. One of the guys in our young married small group commented that he was old for turning 30. Old? Not really, he's the baby of our group of friends, but he has had a lot of life packed into his last 30 years. Definitely!

I'm so proud of him and so thankful to be the one privileged to live this life with him and serve alongside him for the next thirty years! I love you babe!

I wish I knew how to make these pictures so they aren't so wonky. Oh well. Sorry for the massive amount too, just got carried away going down memory lane! Should have done a collage.Too much time invested already so this is what you get!  So many sweet moments!

What can I say? Next to my dad and husband, there's no other guy I'm more thankful to know. Brings tears to my eyes to be reminded of what a great husband he's been for you. Happy Birthday to a super-wondeful guy!
