There were no broken hearts on Valentines day at our house but Ethan decided it would be funny to cut the heart shaped pizza like that. So I accommodated him. It tasted good no matter how it was cut. This was a popular dinner idea this year for Vday, pizza or heart shaped pancakes. Cute but easy, just what my life needs. I had an exhausting day on Monday consisting of home school, a mid day wedding ( so romantic I know, on a Monday, in the middle of the day, brilliant) and then an orthodontist appointment for Ethan. This heart shaped homemade pizza was all I could muster. I think the kids were satisfied. I was feeling bad for them since they didn't get any valentines of gifts at school this year and we didn't have a valentines party. The heart shaped pizza was the highlight and I think it satisfied.
Enough about dinner food. Let's talk about dessert. I made cupcakes this afternoon for my bunko group tonight and they are YUMMY! I have been a cupcake making fool lately all because I found this crazy good recipe on Heather Bailey's blog. They are super delish and easy to mix up! I made a bunch to take to dinner at a friends house, more to send with my husband to work, some for my neighbors for Valentines day and now more for Bunko. Four batches of cupcakes in two weeks. Way. Too. Much. Please stop me before I gain 50 pounds! Good thing the sun is starting to shine, it always motivated me to get out and start running again every spring. I especially need to this year because of, you know, the cupcakes. Wink. Wink.

we did heart pizza too and it was great! I'm so thankful you made the cupcakes and I can't wait to try one!!!!
I may have to try that cupcake recipe--we have some friends coming for dinner tonight and I need an easy dessert.
I don't even REMEMBER what I made for dinner on Valentine's day--it wasn't heart-shaped pizza, obviously. I made heart-shaped muffins for breakfast, and I think that was my only attempt to do something cute for my family.
