I think I introduced you all to Sophia in an earlier post but just in case, here she is. Hailey got her look alike American Girl doll for her birthday as a collective gift from family and friends. Hailey decided to cut her hair shortly after receiving this gift so they would look more alike. So cute.
Hailey with her first sewing project |
Sophia is Hailey's middle name so that's where that came from. The really fun thing about having this doll is that it provides some new sewing opportunities. I was wary at first about how hard it would be to sew for an eighteen inch doll but it's actually pretty easy and provides instant gratification with how quickly the projects can be completed.
So far I have made a nightgown and a sleeping bag for our little American Girl, but there's more to come so stay tuned.
Here are a few patterns I'd love to purchase and make up this summer!

Very cute! Beth really, really, really wants a "My Twin" doll but they are so expensive...we'll see. But there may be 18-inch-doll clothes in our future too--so let me know if you do end up having any of those little dolly clothes for sale :)
that is super cute. I love the little sleeping bag...great job!! Love it!
