What in the world...

How did the ENTIRE summer slip by in the blink of an eye? I fully intended to take maybe a week off from blogging and begin again telling tales of our summer adventures. As you well know, that never happened! But here is what did,

~ We went on a mission trip
~ We started chasing a crawling (almost walking!) one year everywhere
~ We vacationed in Sisters
~ We took a trip to Crater lake
~ We hiked 4.5 miles up Misery Trail at Smith Rock
~ We camped several time and swam in the river
~ We played in the sprinkler
~ We got approved for a second home mortagage
~ We enjoyed the baby going to one loooong nap in the afternoon
~ We had our awesome realtor take us to look at houses
~ We put an offer on a house
~ We brutally cleaned out drawers and closets
~ We had small group couples come for dinner most weeks
~ We had our offer accepted and a home inspection done
~ We had a major garage sale and sold TONS of stuff including my dining room set
~ We are preparing to close on our new house in 3 weeks
~ We enrolled the kids in their new school
~ We went school supply shopping!! ( forgot how fun this is)
~ We sold both our cars ( we are driving my Mil's until we close)
~ We started packing, then packed some more and still more packing
~ We played at the park, had BBQ's and layed in the sun
~ We had swimming lessons
~ We survived the super hot week we endure every summer here in the Willamette Valley with no AC
~ We had some panic moments about all the crazy changes happening so, so fast
~ We found some great renters for our current house
~ We started prjects to get our current house ready for renters
~ We started going crazy on pintrest with new home makeover ideas (okay that was just me)
~ We had cousins come play and had sleepovers
~ We spent one more day down at the river swimming and enjoying the sun this Labor day  before school starts on Wednesday

So as you can see it's been a pretty eventful summer. I'm hoping to give you some pictures to go with all this summer fun as I get back into the blogging routine. My kiddos and I will have some adjusting to do with them going back to regular school and I'm sure I'll have a lot to share about that and our moving process. Lots more fun coming your way, stay tuned! :)
