I never really thought of sewing as a dangerous pastime. Just fun. But yesterday was a day of hazards. I first stuck my pointer finger really deep with a pin, that happens rather regularly since I'm always going to fast. Then later I was ironing a load of fat quarters fresh out of the laundry and I burned my arm on the iron. Again, not that surprising. I feel like I am constantly healing from a burn on my forearm from ironing. I have a scar from one burn. But finally I did something that I had privately been smug about. Of course I wouldn't do that, how does one actually do that anyway! What, you are asking! I sewed through my finger. Not terribly bad there was little blood but none the less I did it! I was concentrating so hard on smoothing the fabric as I fed it through the machine that I didn't realize I was to close until too late! It really hurt! My left middle finger was bandaged and I went in for round two. You would think that with all of those accidents combined into one day I would call it quits but I'm a glutton for punishment, I really wanted to finish my project. And I did. And it is so cute. And I will post a picture of it tomorrow because the receiver might see it tonight and she will just have to wait until her baby shower to see it instead. Who knew sewing could be so rough? Ah well, I do love it anyway.
~Sorry about no pictures I thought I'd save you the gore of my wounds.

Oh, come on, who doesn't love some good blood and gore?
I am looking forward to seeing this project that was worth your blood and burns, though!
Yikes! I am too paranoid to sew through my finger! I rarely sew though, so when I do it is a VERY slow and tedious process! :) And I keep my fingers far far away from danger! Although I have pricked myself with a pin several times!
Oh ouch! THat makes me hurt just hearing your stories! Way to finish the project though! Hope your ouchies are better soon!
