So I whipped up this curtain on Monday for the only window in my house that doesn't have one.
My sewing room is of course the one room that was most neglected. If you thought my bedroom was bad, you should have seen my sewing room throughout the years. It was definitely the shove room. I didn't even consider taking pictures of that! But the room has been organized for awhile now and I am slowly trying to make it my own pretty space. Here's the before.
I settled on pink and brown, inspired by a sewing basket a friend gave me for my birthday one year.
I didn't want to spend any money so I went to my fabric stash and found this brown home decor fabric that I bought at Walmart. I bought the whole bolt for $15! I also had some shiny satin pink ribbon. So I put it all together and this is what I came up with! I don't think it's the end all perfect curtain and I wish I had made it more triangular so it was touching the sides of the window instead of bunching up away from the sides. But I think it works for now and I'm happy to have a little feminine floofy curtain dressing up my little sewing room.

isn't it amazing how cozy curtains make a room. It looks really lovely! We converted a little room downstairs in our house into a study/ homeschool supply room & it' 98% done...I have a few bits to pain and curtains to hang then it will be done. But boy, it just doesn't feel done with out them! My spring break project is to do that paint and find some curtains. Wish I was sew-happy too...
This is one of my favorites, because it was cheap! I am so thankful that you can be happy without spending thousands... Good thing too, because if that is what it took you would never be happy!
I love seeing your creativity. You are amazing! I can't wait till you show the quit you are making... The best EVER!
