The finished product

We finished the tiny quilt and I think it turned out quite cute. Hailey learned some basic sewing skills and I had to exercise a lot of patience and not just finish for her or make her go faster. Overall it was a bonding experience and I'm glad we took the plunge into sewing together. I think the hardest part is over now and we can just continue to build her skills in the future. 

 We did a cheater binding that I found on this blog. It makes binding a quilt really quick and easy. Just cut the back about an inch larger than the quilt and double fold it to make a finished edge along the quilt.For the corners I just folded the corner in and then double folded the side like usual.Easy peasy.
